Harold Clifton Fithian (1905-1972) California Modernist sterling cufflinks. 7/8" x 5/8" face 20.8 grams.
Harold Fithian (1905-1972) was an all-American romantic
figure - he was born and raised in Southern California - studied acting with
Edna Ames and worked on the back lot of Universal Studios in Hollywood in the
1920s - was a labor organizer and friend of Woody Guthrie in the 1930s and 40s -
a well-known designer and metalsmith in the 1950s and 60s - and he is probably
best known for his modernist cufflinks and other mens jewelry.
