Born 1968 in Gallup, New Mexico. Started silver work in 1991. He learned silver work by watching his brother Andy, David Donovan was born in 1968 in Gallup, New Mexico USA. He began his silversmith career in 1991. He is Andy Cadman’s brother and Gary and Sunshine Reeves’s half brother. They are all artists who create some of the finest Native American jewelry in the southwest. He, like all of them, creates jewelry in the Navajo revival style.

His late brother, David Reeves introduced him to this trade, through David he was introduced to Eric Bonecutter of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a silversmith for Eric, he was able to gain some financial independence. See less
