Repurposed from an antique Indian Sheesham wood door—likely dating to the early 20th century—this piece is a striking example of upcycled architectural salvage. Once part of a haveli or traditional Indian estate, the door has been transformed into a bold yet elegant centerpiece.

The door’s surface is richly adorned with inset brass-on-copper panels, each featuring hand-cut foliate motifs in traditional Mughal style. These decorative inlays are framed with hand-punched borders and mounted with rustic iron brackets and bold rivet detailing. Patinated over time, the metalwork exudes warmth and authenticity, bearing the marks of skilled Indian artisans.

Encircling the door panel is a beautifully preserved hand-carved Sheesham wood molding, showcasing rhythmic floral medallions and stylized leaf motifs. These carvings, rendered in shallow relief, reference traditional Indian latticework (jali) and temple architecture.
