His sculptures are made of melted glass, so-called cast glass, have a massive yet elegant shape. Wasserbauer is a minimalist and finds an intriguing balance between polished and rough surfaces often enhanced by rugged edge. The matte and transparent areas each show their own play of lights. The colour gradient is determined by the thickness of the glass and in this he shows his mastery. His later works, the development in technique and form is clearly visible.
