He studied … Read more Claude Sauthier was born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1929 and passed away in the same city in 2016. He studied at the Geneva School of Decorative Arts and initially worked as a graphic designer. He lived in Peru for four years before returning to Geneva, where he continued his career and taught at his alma mater. Passionate about painting, Sauthier focused on landscapes, particularly Swiss and French countryside scenes. In the 1960s and 1970s, he painted gouache seascapes of the Atlantic coast. His works have been exhibited and sold at auction, gaining recognition among collectors. His legacy endures through his serene and evocative landscapes, which continue to captivate art enthusiasts.
