The Nuvolone modular lounge sofa, designed by Rino Maturi for Mimo Padova in the 1970s, is an iconic example of Italian design where modernism meets space-age influences. The name ‘Nuvolone’ – Italian for ‘big cloud’ – refers to its design, inspired by the soft, airy shapes of clouds. This playful and inviting sofa consists of four generously sized seating elements, including a corner piece, and offers flexibility thanks to its modular configuration. The shapes are organic and sculptural, while comfort is ensured by a foam core that gently adapts to the body. The original deep green upholstery is in good vintage condition, with age-appropriate signs of wear. A rare and stylish statement piece that brings together comfort, character, and design history.
