Postmodern "grip" floor lamp by italian architect and designer achille castiglioni (1918-2002) for flos. Labelled. Circa 1985.
the lamp has a powder coated steel base, rising on an angled black lacquered tubular metal stem, with the lamp head 'microphone' and grip held by a painted brass gyroscope in two tone turquoise and pink.
with postmodern influences, the lamp is in good condition, showing some signs of use as expected.
ideal as a reading lamp, as the housing is screened and concentrated to provide adequate light without disturbing the whole room.
the two core wiring has been pat tested and a uk plug added.
