Brisborg was the head … Read more Rare brass floor lamp designed by Bertil Brisborg and produced by Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1940s. Brisborg was the head of the lighting department at NK in the 1940s and is a very well known and established figure in Swedish design history. The model is height adjustable between 136-190 cm. Base and stem is made of brass with all new wiring that contains cord of black fabric. The vintage pleated shade is made of a glossy silk type of fabric. It's correctly marked with the number 30085 under the base, which all known examples of this model are. Good vintage condition with normal ware consistent with age and use. Base with quite heavy patina I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
