They have a straightforward structure without … Read more This handsome set of four solid bronze sconces are of an atypical sconce design. They have a straightforward structure without the highly decorated arms and details so often found in antique sconces. They have an understated wreath pattern on the bulb mount box, which contains two sockets for upright and inverted bulbs. Their overall neo-classical style is balanced; the back plate is classic curved-corner rectangle with arched top and bottom and subtly decorative edges. They can be mounted with the wreath opening upright or inverted - either is correct depending on your preference. These fixtures would be a striking presence in a library or foyer or any space that would benefit by their substantial design.

All four have been rewired and hand-cleaned in our shop, to bring out their deep-colored patina. The photos show Edison bulbs. The bulb sockets can also be set up for candelabra-size lamps, as shown in one of the photos. See less
