This Exquisite Fire Gilding Dessert Set, The Knife with Sterling Blade which is very unusual has Crest Monogram, it’s place is in a Museum
This unusual flatware pattern was designed in 1781, in the reign of Louis XV
This set is ornate with a garland of bay-leaves looped with falling finials and stuck with a shell, the singularity and of the perfection of workmanship made it one of the most beloved classical pattern.
Supplier : Odiot - Maître Orfèvre since 1690. -
Made in : France Circa 1890’s .
Marked : Hall Mark Odiot with Paris Paris Assay office Hall Mark Title 1 (which is 950/1000)

Odiot was founded in 1690 during the reign of Louis XIV. Odiot Maître Orfèvre with a historical background , most of their patterns were specially designed for the rulers and the elite in Europe, under Louis XV, Louis XVI and the Empire. They are still carrying the tradition of master craftsman-Maître Orfèvre for (3) three centuries.
Provenance : Guilde des Orfevres was Odiot Distributor, Purchased from Odiot-Paris in 1970's.
Please Note : The Spoon & Fork have a Monogram on the back in the Cartouche.
