6’ 8” x 10’ Vintage Persian Tabriz in Mahi (Fish) pattern from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s. The classic geometric pattern is loved in Persia and is hand-knotted in several cities in the Azerbaijan Province of Persia. The best of these rugs come from the workshops in the city of Tabriz which this rug was woven in. The Tabriz Mahi design in red has several diamond patterns radiating from the center of the rug out in alternating red and cream colors framed with a beautiful dark red or burgundy color border. The ageless design is copied by other weavers. The key is to find a truly genuine piece such as this from the ancient city of Tabriz in NW Persia.
