4’ 6” x 8’ Vintage Persian Bidar area or gallery rug in a medallion floral pattern from the early 1900s. The carpet has a central medallion and anchor pendants rendered in blues, reds, ivory, and pink with a dark gold outline. The corners have four rose flower bouquet designs in beautiful colors. The "wetting" of the weft in each row of the weave before combing results in the use of twice as much material in weaving as other rugs and therefore these rugs tend to have a much tighter weave. The Bidjar carpets are considered some of the best-weaved carpets from Persia. Truly a great combination of colors, design, and the very finest workmanship.
