The beautiful Afghan area rug has an all over geometric design with octagonal medallions called “Gul (flower)” set in a plum color background with the medallions in dark burgundy and midnight blue colors. The rug has a narrow border with design in burnt orange, ivory and brown colors. The rug has a very special wool that shimmers under light and almost has a “silk feel” to it. It is a very desirable color combination and design rug that can work in any room design plan.
