It is artistically woven with a wool pile on a cotton foundation with silk highlighting the designs in a fine workshop in the city of Tabriz in NW Persia. The rug is very unique in Tabriz floral rugs having a very desirable and seek after allover pattern. The accent colors in the field include green, blue, pink, red, and yellow.
