3' 4" x 4' 8″ Vintage South American pictorial rug in deity forms pattern in ivory, brown, purple, and pink colors circa the 3rd quarter of the 1900s. . The rug has a beautiful design of repeated deity forms in various pastel colors. Although the figure forms resemble Mayan and Aztec dancers with the costumes and hairdressers that use bird feathers that are often depicted on the ruins and ancient buildings in Central and South American countries. This beautiful artwork shows the rows of deity forms in natural earth tone vibrant colors including various shades of brown, purple, and red. The piece can be used as a rug or as a wall art and tapestry for wall decoration.
