The rug has a wonderful classic design of 16th-century rugs. The color combination is astonishingly beautiful with the field color in an antique red with a central medallion in French blue and pale pink. The corner spandrels are also in pale yellow and French blue. The design throughout the field and border is of scrolling lines, leaves, and flowers. The rug is framed by a set of beautiful borders. The primary border is pale yellow with the secondary borders in turquoise blue. The rug has the signature of the weaver. Lavar carpets are world-renowned for their beauty in design and colors used which this carpet well represents.
