26” x 43” Wonderful hand knotted Persian Tabriz pictorial rug from the 3rd quarter of the 1900s. The Tabriz rug depicts a forest scene with deers, birds and flowers in wonderful brilliant colors set on a red field beautifully framed with an ivory color border. The design of the birds and flowers are so wonderfully executed that they seem alive. Beautiful use of silk to highlight the fruits and flowers bring the depiction to a wonderful richness and reality.
