3’ 11” x 5’ 3” Vintage Turkmen Tekke area rug in an allover small medallion pattern from the late 1800s. The rug has a beautiful and graceful red background color. The medallions are in crimson, navy, ivory, and rust. Rug has a very fine weave with high knot density and has a wool pile on a wool foundation with organic vegetable dyes. A wonderful example of the central Asia tribal people.
