Ms. Rambo was best known for her dog portraits and she also held a passion for collecting and creating miniature paintings. This one is dollhouse sized and would work for for a standard 1:12 scale if miniature rooms are your thing but this little bit of charm would be equally wonderful on display in an etagere or amongst treasures on a bookshelf. Though 'The Count' was meant to replicate a painting from 1880, as dated at the back, Ms. Rambo probably created the miniature in the mid to late 20th century. It is executed on board and sports a built-in frame. Acquired from Meredith Rambo's Atlanta estate.
