When we created the seat, we called it the «cage» and when we had to baptized it, we couldn’t run away of the idea of the cage, so we gave it the name of Poiret, in honour of Jean Poiret, French writer of the play «La cage aux folles» (The cage of Madwomen), premiered in 1973 at Théatre du Palais-Royal in Paris, adapted into French cinema in 1978, into a Broadway show in 1983 and into Hollywood cinema in 1996, with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.
This lounge chair is entirely produced in solid wood curved in vapour, being possible to combine with the pouf. Labeled by Maker
