It … Read more Magis - brut 3-seater sofa; the starting point for this project was a very specific production process: cast iron. It is one of the oldest methods of processing ferrous metals. Cast iron performs well under compression: in fact, it is used as a structural material in bridge construction and, on a scale closer to furniture, as a base for heavy machinery.
it is this use of cast iron that inspired brut, a collection that includes armchairs, sofas, benches and tables.
the name evokes something raw, unfinished-a massive piece of heavy, unyielding iron. However, brut also calls to mind the sweetness of sparkling wine, which speaks to us of refinement and elegance, qualities intrinsic to our design as well.
3-seater sofa with a polyester-painted cast iron frame. Cushions in fire-retardant polyurethane foam (class 1 im) with removable covers, covered in fabric.
