The centre table Malaparte, in solid wood, with his big wood top textured with the gougée technique, has his curved feet also in solid wood which allow it to be a massive piece, exactly as the Villa Malaparte in Punta Massullo, in the east area of the Island of Capri.
The creation of this house was given to the architect Adalberto Libera, but in fact was his owner, the writer, journalist and poet German-Italian Curzio Malaparte, who designed and gave it the personality as we know, seeing that his big stairs and the magnificent rooftop, with his peculiar wall like the shape of a wing, didn’t exist in the original plans of Libera. To emphasize that the rooftop converts in a real room thanks to his unique wall in the shape of a sail, balancing the house’s strict lines with the exuberant surrounding nature, besides giving privacy and protection to his residents.
