I wanted to verify the authenticity so I contacted the factory in West Germany. This is the statement I received. "I can confirm that the chairs were made in the 40s. Our factory was founded in 1922 in Ettenheim in the Black Forest, south-west of Germany.

Before assembling the chair, the backrest was taken to a wood carver who carved the backrest.

In the Black Forest there are many woodcarvers who make wooden masks for carnival.

There were different motifs, your motifs are very beautiful and I have never seen anything like them before. The wood is beech.
