Ultramarine hills' Ultramarine hills was photographed in Iran, 2016 with a combination of the special ultramarine colour filter. The idea of colour combination together with Iranian desert landscape came from encountering a local precious stone called Lapis Lazuli. This precious stone was mined for thousands of years and traded mainly for pigmentation use in paintings and fabric. Ultramarine (literally 'from across the sea') was processed from lapis lazuli. In the middle ages, when it was used for illuminating manuscripts, it cost as much or more than gold. It's believed Ultramarine colour eliminates bad thoughts, happy gazing! Giclée pigment method print on Hahnemühle photo rag baryta 308 gsm fine art paper. Limited edition of 20. Photograph is signed, stamped and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Photograph carefully inspected before packaging into a flat, sturdy cardboard package. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
