Presumably dutch, 1930s. The most beautiful aspects of this early 20th century lamp base are its wonderful sculptural shape and glaze in hues of green and black. This glaze shows a fantastic relief and finish with colors shifting from green to brown and black. This lamp would be a great addition to any elegant interior. It strongly resembles works by eskaf - ‘eerste steenwijker kunst aardewerk fabriek’. The lamp comes in a wonderful condition. It is fitted with a high quality brass socket, a switch in bakelite and a beautiful cord.
