Victor Charles HAGEMAN (1868-1938) was a Belgian painter, painter of animated compositions, landscapes, he also was an engraver. He was student at the "Academie des Beaux-Arts" in Antwerp. He participated to the group 'Als ik kan' (If I Can).
He worked in Antwerp, Brussels and appeared on the Antwerp exhibitions from 1904, especially at the Salon of Contemporary Art of 1908 and at the exhibit of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1913, as well as in Dusseldorf, Brussels and at the Palais des Glaces of Munich. He picks out of favoritism, jews, emigrants, farmers as subjects for his paintings, but also types and scenes of the famous Antwerp Harbor.
