Art Deco. It is a composition with a green glass vase with a beautiful bouquet of pink roses.

The antique painting is dressed in a carved and lacquered wooden frame, Montparnasse from the early 20th century.

Guédy Gaston Édouard (1874-1955) French painter born in Albi (Tarn). Painter of portraits, nudes and landscapes.

He was a pupil of Gérome. He exhibited regularly at the ‘Salon Des Artistes Français’ in Paris from 1895,

where he received many awards and medals. In 1907, he received the Eugène-Piot Prize.

Finally in 1926 he was appointed ‘Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur’.

His works are exhibited in the museum in Le Mans. Painting, oil on canvas, hand-painted in the 20th century.

The antique frame and oil painting are professionally and carefully restored. 1930s.
