This is a very large set of iconic Arabia Ruska tableware, designed by Ulla Procopé in the 1960s. A true mid century classic - very usable and timeless. In 1960, the RUSKA series, designed by Ulla Procopé, was launched. 'Ruska' means 'autumn colour' in Finnish and was one of Arabia's most popular series. Each item has a unique, rustic look thanks to a special decoration method: a powder layer of black iron was sprayed onto the matt glaze, which makes the colour of the glaze vary from light brown to dark brown. Also there are a few pieces included which can be used in the oven - these are slightly darker in color and differently glazed. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
