It is signed and dated to the back leg.
James Joseph Kearns (b. 1924). Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. Taught at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey and at the Skowhegan School of Art in Maine.
