A very fine George III period inlaid mahogany sideboard of exceptional quality and elegant design with unusual, and very useful, depth. Satinwood banding decorates throughout, framing the gorgeously grained top and boxwood stringing extends on all sides. Extensive floral marquetry inlay decorates the drawer fronts with braided wreath brassware.
Three full-depth drawers with one long drawer sitting between two drawers on each side, over a cupboard on the left and a functional cellarette on the right, tin lined to cool your beverages of choice.
In its original English stately home, this extraordinary sever was the focal point of the dining room. With extensive, secure storage for flatware, linens, and other silver service; this sideboard is a perfect blend of function and beauty. The tin lined cellarette (with a drain) is yet another functional design choice, to keep fine bottles of wine or champagne chilled for serving.
All drawers are locking, with original key supplied. Standing on six elegant square tapering legs, terminating in spade feet, this one of a kind sideboard is a remarkable example of classic Georgian Hepplewhite design.
It is the most fabulous sideboard we have ever seen and we're quite sure you'll agree!
