An elegant Empire secretary featuring a two-door lower cabinet, a smooth writing flap, and a top drawer. The piece is adorned with fine inlays depicting stars, lyres, and palmettes, reflecting the neoclassical aesthetics of the Empire style.
The writing flap is flanked by two pilasters topped with finely carved caryatids. The interior is fitted with nine drawers, letter compartments, and a central mirrored compartment. This compartment is framed by an inlaid arch and veneered in a radial pattern, creating a complete circular reflection in the mirror.
Veneered in cherrywood, the secretary has been meticulously restored, highlighting the richness of the wood grain and the craftsmanship of the inlays. Fire-gilded bronze fittings add a refined touch, completing the stately design.
