Up for sale is a very interesting antique 17/18 centuries original oil painting on canvas depicting a genre scene with a gentleman in black robes is approached by two elderly men asking for alms. He shows them his open purse.
No visible signature.
Condition: stable craquelure overall. Relined. Two lower tears across the beggar in front with some bulging to the canvas, some losses along framing lines, restored areas in the lower-right.
Presented in a contemporary gold frame.
