"Pulkka" lounge chair and ottoman designed in 1968 by Ilmari Lappalainen (Asko, Finland, 1918-2006). Aluminium frame, leather strap arms, rolled leather upholstery, loose head rest that can be used for back support as well. Seat adjusts to 3 positions, from upright to lounge and can easily be entirely removed from frame. Sleek, modern design. Wonderful mid century piece!
While the label is no longer present, an outline of it remains under the seat of the chair (shown).
Measures 42" long or deep (62" with ottoman), is 34" high on tallest setting, and is 30" wide from the outside of each armrest. Ottoman is 20" deep, 13: high, and 22" wide.
