Up for sale is a fabulous antique 19-century or even earlier original oil painting on canvas depicting an interior scene with a seated female nude queen wearing a jeweled crown and ancient Roman style gold and gem-studded jewelry. She is draped in a diaphanous wrap and receives a partly nude female supplicant who kneels before her. The queen presents the figure with gold chains. Behind stand two Orientalist male figures as guardians.

Condition: stable craquelure overall, minor repair to left male figure's arm.. Overall in very good condition.
