This is one … Read more Fully Restored hand made circa 1850 Dutch Marquetry Inlaid desk chair with green leather Chesterfield Tufted seat. This is one of the best looking and well made desk chairs I have ever seen, the timber grain, inlay and patina is sublime, for some reason the Dutch were the absolute masters of this kind of work, from what I hear the techniques they used have now been lost to time. Every square inch of this piece is carved and or inlaid with some kind of detail, this is pure art furniture from every angle and will truly elevate any office or home space Restoration wise it has been on a journey, the frame has been sympathetically washed back and French polished being sure to keep all the original age related patina, the leather seat pad is new Italian leather, its upholstered plain, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished Dimensions Height:- 86cm Width:- 58cm Depth:- 61cm Seat height:- 50cm See less
