Between 1987 and 2002, Alain Delon was married to Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen.
These real chairs belonged to the Van Breemen family, his in-laws. Marked with the Alain Delon signature label.
Delon's designs run the gamut in shapes, from cabinets and consoles to side tables and armchairs, and a few pieces—notably his backgammon tables—nod to chic, languid leisure interests. The details and materials of many of his designs evoke Art Deco inspirations: scalloped and fluted edges, lacquered finishes and brass fittings. Other, more angular pieces, like his backgammon tables, suggest a modern take on Chinoiserie. Whatever their form, as you will see throughout these pages, all of Alain Delon's creations have an elegance and glamor that would make them the centerpiece of a simple and refined decoration.
