One of McGuire's … Read more Elegant pair of McGuire rattan loop back dining armchairs made in the California coastal organic modern style. One of McGuire's most iconic and beautiful chair styles designed by Elinor McGuire in the 1970s. The chairs feature a sinuous loop back splat inside a square frame. The arms gracefully curve down to a generous square seat. The rattan is reinforced with an abundance of leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. The seat has a fitted loose seat cushion upholstered with a vintage fabric that is still presentable, but faded. The arms measure 25 inches high. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a subtle cerused finish or glaze on the blonde rattan accented by cream colored leather laces. Each chair has a McGuire makers plaque on bottom and a pearlescent "M" signifying McGuire's highest quality pieces. From an estate in Napa Valley, CA.
