Set of three framed mid-century prints by famed American illustrator and pioneering naturalist Roger Tory Peterson. The set includes cardinal with magnolia, American robins with spring flowers, and blue jays with conifer. The prints, which are mounted in cream toned mats and protected behind glass, are in their original vintage frames in warm mid-tone solid wood. Frames measure 11.75” high by 11.25” wide. Picture wire on back to hang. See last photo for the original vintage backing.
Peterson was a conservationist, ornithologist, artist and illustrator, and a founder of the 20th-century environmental movement. He was the author of the legendary Peterson Field Guide series.
