This case features an … Read more 19th Century Bookcase Round Corner Display Case Shanxi. Wonderful Round Corner Bookcase, Display case, Scholars Shelf. This case features an open façade having four large spacious shelfs to hold books of all sizes, collections of objects, and or sculptures. Solid elm wood bookcase of the the early to middle 19th century, Shanxi Province. Composed of hand hued wood, having tenon & mortise joinery. Beautifully outlined by its Round Corner frame and top, noted on all four support legs front and rear from top to bottom. Round Corner cabinets and Cases are very desirable for their softened round edged frames. Inside shelf space is gracious with a depth of 19 inches and heights from the bottom shelf up at 15, 16, 18.25, 17 at the top shelf. This is an excellent bookcase that allows for great storage, display, and utilization. Charming patina to the wood both interior and exterior. In very good condition. See less
