Gunnar Borg (1926–2007) was a Swedish ceramicist who was born in Höganäs. He began his career as an errand boy at Andersson & Johansson in Höganäs at the age of 14. Soon he proved to be a skilled ceramicist and worked there for 28 years. For the last 14 years, he turned miniatures at a high rate, sometimes up to 150 per day.

After a successful exhibition in 1968, he decided to start his own workshop, Gunnars Keramik, in Strandbaden. There he continued to turn miniatures and create lamp bases, ashtrays, mugs and vases. His production was particularly successful during the 1970s and 80s.

His work is characterized by high quality and creativity, and his works are still sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts. This piece has an attribution mark,
