The hallmark in the shape of a rooster (the symbols 800 or 950 in France were born only in 1838) , clarify at the beginning of the 19th century the quantity of silver present in the alloy : "1st" title for an alloy at 950 thousandths (as for these candelabras) ," 2nd" title for an alloy at 800 thousandths.
