An 18th century Chinese rosewood sculpture of Quan Yin, the bodhisattva of mercy and compassion, hand carved in the classic Tang figural style with original gesso and painted surface. Mounted in a thick plexiglass museum quality display case with concealed desiccant beads beneath the floorboard to absorb moisture.
This statute was purchased in 1997 from Honeychurch Antiques for $14,000.
