This vintage 4x7 Turkish Kilim is handwoven in wool, and originates circa 1950-1960.
Its colorway is polychromatic, though it favors a chocolate brown field and burgundy in its many colorful geometric patterns. Keen eyes will admire pronounced texture in the diamonds, chevrons, and borders that sits gorgeous underfoot. The sheer, meticulous detail to color variation alone is both collectible and exemplary of tribal Kilims in its period.
This is an intricate piece with rustic charm and a smart play of rich and vibrant colors with movement and attitude.
This mid-century tribal Kilim further enjoys good condition for its provenance, and is ready for the floor.
