the chandelier consists of a white frame that carries 11 tulip-shaped elements in murano crystal glass. These were made by az mazzega and each glass was hand-blown using the pulegoso technique. This creates small bubbles in the glass, which spreads a beautiful light and makes each glass unique.

during his career, austrian designer jt kalmar designed lighting fixtures for many renowned architects, as well as for important institutions, e.g. The vienna opera and the vienna stock exchange. In the last decade of his life, kalmar developed a number of very popular lighting collections, including tulipan (ca. 1960), ice glass (1960) and atomic (1969).
