Elegant, reduced sideboard from the B series by Behr, designed by Dieter Waeckerlin in the late 1950s. Four drawers and two large compartments with numerous shelves. The cabinet is designed in an evenly grained teak veneer on the outside and lined with maple veneer on the inside. The elegantly proportioned sideboard stands on a black steel frame.

Very nice restored condition. The furniture is freshly painted and shows only a few signs of wear on the outside, such as minor scratches and dings, some abrasion on the frame. Inside there are some stronger stains and colored signs of use.

Elegant Dieter Wäckerlin sideboard with black metal base. Inlay made of maple. Outside is veneered in teak. Lots of storage space with four drawers and many shelves inside.

Waeckerlin was a cabinet maker, interior architect and furniture designer from Switzerland. His mid-century furniture is characterized by a puristic design language, especially visible in his famous sideboards. He developed furniture systems with Le Corbusier and became known for his collaboration with manufacturer Behr in Osnabrück.

The sideboard comes in wonderful refinished condition with only minor traces of use, some light scratches, some very tiny marks on the legs, nothing that detracts. The interior shows stronger signs of use, some colorful stains. Overall appearance presents beautifully. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
