This mixed media collage by Melanie Boone is a delightful and strikingly layered composition that evokes the wonder of a beautiful quilted blanket. Melanie Boone grew up in Southern California where she cut her artistic teeth on regiinal art contests. She received her artistic education at Fullerton Junior College where she studied drawing, painting, assemblage art, and jewelry making. She furthered her education at UCLA and a productions studio, adding techniques such as silk-screening to her repertoire. After suffering illness from the silk-screen inks, she began making multi-media collages in California.
