A fabulous antique French, very early 19th century quilt. This quilt has a front fabric c 1810,This quilt is 100% hand stitched and hand quilted. There is a dense cotton batting between the layers The front fabric of this stunning quilt is a small scale floral with creamy natural ground. The other colors include: a dark grey green blue! and red the backing is pink and deeper darker pink! The fabric of this quilt covered over a much earlier quilt from the 1700s and you can see this peeking out on the little holes along the side edges! Ive freshly laundered this quilt. (please see condition below)

Condition: Ive freshly laundered this quilt and its ready to use! The side edges show wear along along each side (please see photographs) each side has some stains that didnt fully wash and some gradual discolorations also. This quilt is not right for anyone requiring a perfect or laundered textile, however its Ideal for anyone that doesnt mind the signs of time and use often inherent in these textiles!
