The plate features figurative relief decor and a copper oxide glaze in beautiful green and black tones. It is marked with a deep stamp reading "EKEBY" along with the number 38, as well as an Upsala Ekeby silver sticker. The wall plate, previously known as S:t Erik number 638 was designed in 1933.

Following the acquisition of S:t Eriks by Upsala Ekeby in 1938, thr plate has the Upsala Ekeby model number of 38. It has a diameter of 30 cm and includes a hanging hole for wall display. Gertrud Lönegren (1905-1970) was a prominent designer during her time at S:t Eriks Lervarufabriker, where she contributed significantly to the company's collection from 1932 to 1936.

Following the acquisition of S:t Eriks by Upsala Ekeby in 1938, parts of her collection remained in production. Lönegren was trained in Vienna and was initially influenced by Austrian taste. After her tenure at S:t Eriks, she went on to work at Rörstrand from 1936 to 1941. This piece has an attribution mark,
