Hand-knotted in wool, this 8x10 rug from Rug & Kilim's Modern Classics Collection is inspired by antique Persian rugs of Sultanabad provenance—some of the most sought-after in Oriental rugs since the 1800s.
On the Design:
One fundamental idea that our Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal has long taught to his colleagues and teammates is that the best handmade modern rugs are made after one masters the classics. One such masterpiece is this featured modern rug inspired by the antique Persian rugs of Sultanabad provenance. This rug features a light patina with a creamy beige colorway prevailing in the field and border alike. The burnt red and green tones have been used as accenting hues to bring forth the subtle finesse of the floral patterns. Connoisseurs may admire this regal rustic work that nods to a respected style known for its beauty, living gorgeously in this comfortable, sophisticated high-end style for modern projects.
