Cuca Romley was born in Madrid, Spain in 1933. Her first Exibitions were in the 1960s in Paris. Early in Cuca's career, she worked as an illustrator for brands such as Boucheron, Dior, and L’Oréal, before moving to NYC, USA in the late 1960s. In New York, her work expanded to include illustrations for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. In the 1970s, she founded The Winter Tree Graphics Co, where she began creating her signature hand-painted etching work. Cuca Romley's works continue to go up in value even as she is currently a living artist.
